Covering the cost of childcare for moms working on a film
Applications for The Studio IX Mother Project Grants are OPEN until Dec 3, 2022.
Financial support to mothers and caregivers to help cover the cost of childcare while they are on set, need to spend time producing or editing, attend festivals or other networking events, or do anything else that will help them finish their film. The grant includes:
$1,000 grants to help cover the cost of childcare
A year of complimentary Creative Cloud All Apps subscriptions for all grant recipients, provided in partnership with Adobe
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
The COVID-19 pandemic could force a generation of moms out of the workforce. For women in the film industry (who make up >10% of directors across the board) moms face even greater challenges getting their films made and seen.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
We’re seeking to help filmmakers most in need of assistance right now. The grant will be open to those who:
are currently working on a documentary film (short, feature, series, etc.) and are able to demonstrate commitment to their work and film in progress.
US-based
are parents/caregivers to a child (or children) under the age of 13. Adoptive and foster parents included
are caregivers to people other than small children (for example: aging parents or relatives, or someone with a disability)
demonstrate a financial need
